Partnerships
Partners are a doorway into vidIQ. A creator with an audience recommends it, and the people who follow their link land on a page built for that partner. I designed those pages and the block library behind them.

A few blocks became a library
The partner page already existed, and had been through several versions as the company changed. By the time it reached me the features it advertised had fallen behind what vidIQ was actually shipping.
What came to me was small. Update a few blocks so they could be swapped in and out. In a huddle with the PM it turned into something bigger, a library of feature blocks that could assemble a whole page. These are creators, not marketers, and each one cares about something different. One picks keywords, another Shorts, another coaching. They add a headshot and a line in their own words, and we handle everything else. A partner should not have to do much, and that was the whole point.

Finding the floor
We also needed to know how thin a page could get. Trying different numbers of blocks turned up a floor, the least a page could carry and still work, so every one starts there and the creator chooses the rest. We tested internally, then with a couple of partners who volunteered.
The experiment that got paused
My last redesign was approved, and engineering built it and released it to a small share of traffic as an experiment against the old page. During that window our PM saw the variant running well behind the control and paused it.
We huddled and went through the variant next to the control. I ran a QA and wrote up the comparison, every place the page had drifted from the approved design with a shot pointing at it. Spacing, type, color, image export quality.
Together we picked a batch of fixes, the ones that would bring the page closest to the approved design fastest. The engineer merged them the following day and the test started again.
It recovered, and it won by a wide margin. That version has been the template for the partner pages since.
I had the opportunity to work closely with Pat at vidIQ, where he played an important role in designing partnership landing pages for creators ranging from 5,000 to more than 10 million subscribers.
These pages became a key part of how we activated and scaled creator partnerships, helping turn the channel into one of vidIQ’s main revenue drivers. Pat consistently combined strong creative judgment with strategic thinking, and he understood how to design pages that not only looked great but also supported the broader goals of each partnership.
What stood out most was how reliable and self-directed he was. Pat was always on top of his work, moved quickly, and rarely needed much direction from me. I could trust him to understand what was needed and execute at a high level.
He was also a great collaborator and genuinely enjoyable to work with. I would highly recommend Pat to any team looking for a talented designer who can think strategically, work independently, and consistently deliver.
